Welcome to Martoni & James

Martoni & James is conveniently located in the Hallmark Building at the junction of Rt. One North (Newbury Street) and Lowell Street in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Martoni & James is a full-service jeweler dedicated to educating consumers for over 15 years. To many, purchasing fine jewelry can be a daunting task. The internet can be an excellent resource, but there is no substitute for speaking with a skilled jeweler to learn how the 4C’s play their part in the beauty of a diamond.

When the nuances of diamonds are explained to consumers, they soon realize that proportions and critical angles of a diamond are just as important as the 4C’s – often accounting for +/- 50% of the overall value. Martoni & James principals hand-select each of the Hearts & Arrows diamonds we offer, importing them directly from Antwerp, Belgium.

Martoni & James also carries a wide selection of gemstones due to our interest in a cutting facility in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). This business relationship enables us to bring rare and exotic gemstones – large alexandrites, untreated sapphires, morganites and aquamarines, Mali garnets, Pakastani peridots – to the marketplace at below-retail pricing.

Diamond buying is a specialty, as is the artistic treatment of gemstones. Select a professional who has the gemological training to explain how the best quality, price and setting will guarantee your ultimate satisfaction.
