through a Hearts & Arrows Scope. The perfect hearts pattern is visible when looking at the diamond
from the bottom and the arrows are visible when looking at the diamond
from the top. These patterns only appear on a diamond which is cut to
mathematically precise proportions & symmetry that is beyond an Ideal Cut, it is
a Super Ideal Cut.
Because
of the mathematically precise proportions, a Hearts and Arrows diamond
reflects more than 98% of the light back to your eyes, making it appear
larger, livelier and more scintillating than a lesser cut diamond. The
graphics above outline the relative light return based on the proportions
of diamond.
Less than one percent of all
diamonds being manufactured today can be considered a true Hearts and

The Hearts & Arrows pattern is found in a superideal cut diamond. The
Hearts and Arrows effect is achieved by cutting, aligning, and
positioning, all of a diamond's 58 facets to perfection.

cutter will cut a diamond too shallow or deep, as shown at the left.
Neither of these cuts will properly allow the diamond to reflect it's true
